My Ducky Valentine
This time last year, my family was anxiously awaiting the arrival of… eggs.
Our ducklings were finally old enough to start laying, but the short days of winter were holding them back. Each morning, Miss Muffet would bundle up and trot out to the duck house with Pa or me, eager to find the first egg. After weeks of disappointment, I decided to take matters into my own hands on Valentine’s Day.
Just dye eggs as you would for Easter and place them in the chicken or duck house. If you plan on consuming the eggs later, make sure to add a deep layer of fresh bedding to the area in which you’ll be leaving the eggs.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Quack!
